This month we are partnering with Holt International to sponsor Yi and his family in China. We want to do something this month to honor our son, Asher, as it is his birthday month and he will be turning 11 years old. We sadly are not able to adopt Asher or sponsor him directly, so we want to support another child like him in need from China. Yi is also turning 11 years old this month and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to support him, as well as his family, for an entire year. Learn more about Yi and his family:

“Yi Chen’s family consists of five people, including his grandfather, grandmother, father, younger brother, and himself. His younger brother and he both have speech disabilities. His mother left the family when he was only two years old and has not contacted them since. To make ends meet, the father works at a construction site and earns very little. The two boys are currently attending a special school. On Mondays, their grandfather picks them up from school and drops them off on Fridays. Their grandmother works in the fields to supplement the family's income, and they barely make ends meet. Additionally, the family owes 15,000 yuan for medical expenses.”
