We are so excited to partner again with the Harmon family, as they continue to work hard and raise funds to bring their FOUR siblings home from Peru. We partnered with them in July '24 and are helping them to raise the rest of the money they need to bring these precious children home!

1. Tell us more about your family.

Our family is built on faith, love, and the belief that family is created in many different ways. We have been married for 31 years and have dreamed of becoming parents throughout our marriage.

Early in our journey, we experienced the loss of an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured during our second year of marriage. Over the years, we pursued many fertility treatments and visited several fertility clinics, hoping to grow our family. While that path was not the one we expected, it has led us to where we are today. We are currently in the process of adopting a sibling group from Peru—two boys and two girls. Although we do not have children yet, our hearts have always been open to welcoming children into our family. We are incredibly grateful that God has opened the door for adoption and are excited about the opportunity to keep these siblings together and provide them with a loving, stable, and supportive home.

This journey has required patience, perseverance, and faith, and we are looking forward to the day when we can officially become a family of six. We appreciate everyone's encouragement and prayers as we continue this exciting chapter of our lives.

2. Tell us more about your heart for adoption. 

For many years, we prayed and hoped for children of our own. After experiencing infertility and the loss of an ectopic pregnancy early in our marriage, we continued to trust God with our future, even when we did not understand His plan.

In August 2023, God began to stir our hearts in a way we had never experienced before. Denise had a dream of children playing in our living room. Their laughter was so real, joyful, and full of life that she woke up believing there were actually children in our home. The very first words she spoke to Greg were, "I'm ready to go get a little girl in Peru."

Before that moment, we never seriously considered adoption. Denise had held tightly to the hope of having a biological child and had never felt led toward adoption. But through that simple dream, God planted a deep and undeniable desire in our hearts to become parents through adoption. 

As we prayed and sought God's direction, He continued to open doors and confirm His calling. Our hearts grew not only for one child, but for a sibling group of four children who need parents, love, stability, and the opportunity to remain together as a family. We believe adoption is more than growing our family—it is answering God's call to love, nurture, and provide a home for children who need one. We are humbled and grateful for this journey and look forward to welcoming these precious children home.

3. Tell us more about your adoption journey so far.

Our adoption journey is closely connected to a country that has held a special place in our hearts for many years. For nearly 20 years, we have been involved in mission work in Peru, serving communities, building relationships, and experiencing the beauty of the people and culture. Through those years, Peru became much more than a place we visited—it became a second home to us.

Because of our deep connection to Peru, we felt called to adopt from there. We have a small piece of property in Peru and have maintained strong ties to the country through our ministry and friendships. One of our greatest desires is to help our children stay connected to their heritage, culture, and roots.

As adoptive parents, we believe it is important for children to know where they come from and to be proud of their identity. We hope to provide opportunities for our children to return to Peru throughout their lives, allowing them to reconnect with their homeland, maintain cultural connections, and build relationships that are meaningful to them. If they choose to do so as adults, we would love to help them establish deeper roots there as well.

We are pursuing the adoption of a sibling group because we believe keeping brothers and sisters together is important. These children have already shared so much of life's journey, and we want to provide them with the love, stability, and support of a forever family while preserving the bond they have with one another.

The adoption process has been a journey of faith, patience, and preparation. While there are still steps ahead before we can bring the children home, we are excited and grateful for every door God continues to open. We look forward to the day when our family is united and we can begin this new chapter together.

4. Tell us more about the children you are adopting.

At this time, we have not yet been matched with our children, so we want to be respectful of their privacy and share only what we know. We are pursuing the adoption of a sibling group from Peru and hope to welcome four children into our family—two boys and two girls.

While we do not know their individual stories yet, we do know that our hearts have been drawn to keeping siblings together whenever possible. Brothers and sisters share a unique bond, especially during times of transition and uncertainty. We believe there is great value in preserving those relationships and providing a loving home where they can continue to grow together.

Because of our long history of ministry and service in Peru, we feel a special connection to the children of that country and are committed to helping our future children maintain their cultural heritage and connection to their roots.

As we continue through the adoption process, we are praying for the children God has chosen for our family. We look forward to sharing more of our journey as God continues to unfold His plans for our family.

Thank you for your willingness to support adoptive families through both prayer and financial assistance. We are truly grateful for every prayer, encouraging word, and act of generosity.

One of our greatest prayer requests is for God's provision throughout this adoption journey. Adopting a sibling group of four children is a significant financial undertaking.

We know that God has called us to this journey, and we trust that He will provide every need in His perfect timing. We would appreciate prayers for financial provision, wisdom as we navigate the adoption process, and favor with the many agencies and officials involved along the way.

Most importantly, please pray for the children who will one day become part of our family. We pray that God prepares all of our hearts for the day we are united as a family. We are comfortable with these prayer requests being shared on social media so that others may join us in prayer.
